Day 8 - May 13, 2014 - Dubrovnik & THE WALL

First on today's agenda...our little deli for breakfast. We just pointed to a few things that looked good. Totally scored too! That morning they had made tube like pastry filled with mashed potatoes and onions. They had just come out of the oven and were the apex of comfort food.

Second on today's agenda...walk the wall. I will admit, as we climbed the stairs to the top of the wall, I was totally in my head pretending it was an episode of Game of Thrones. It took us 2-1/2 hours to walk the wall, simply because with every turn there was something new and interesting to see, plus from a photography standpoint, it was a gold mine of incredibly beautiful compositions. The wall was also a great way to watch life happening in old. People hanging their laundry, pruning their roses, tending their vegetable gardens, playing with their children, all could be seen while walking the wall.

After the wall, we climbed the tower outside old town. They seemed to be setting up for a concert that evening. The rest of the day was spent meandering down small alleys discovering quiet little places that were out of reach from the large tours of cruise ship visitors.
